French Grey Dining Table

Before table and chairs. It was really glossy so we sanded and also primed the top. We have the primer tinted to the same hue as the paint so that when we distress the piece the white primer isn't showing through. Sometimes it is OK to have the white show thru when distressing but this particular piece that just wasn't the look we were going for.

Music to my ears

Picked up this lovely antique stereo console from a friend. I had special plans for it. Taking out all the guts and making it our new tv console. Oh and adding gold..lots a gold!

What time is it?

It is time to look at another lovely painted floor clock. This one might be my favorite! It is milk paint and I have layered several different colors to get this effect. It is chippy heaven to be sure!

Some things are just better after..like these! My new Philco antique radio upcycled with paint and a coa coa burlap bag instead of fabric...

 

Antique sewing machine painted with Sweet Pickins Milk Paint

New legs

We purchased this buffet for practically nothing. In fact it was such a good deal I made my husband wake up at 630am and drive to Bountiful to get it. He was  a trooper and new how much I wanted this buffet. It needed ALOT of love,this thing had veneer missing on top and a leg missing on the far outside. My hubby worked his magic and fixed the top and replaced two new legs to match. At first I was just going to paint it white but after it was done I started to feel like it wasn't done and needed a little extra something-so I added some light blue. I felt like it kept the piece feminine by going with a light blue color. I am very glad that I did because I love how it looks in my kitchen!

Look at the poor thing without legs and beat up, now it has a loving home!

All in a days work....

The last few days we have been working on flipping beds into benches. The hubby is the master carpenter and builds these beauties pretty quick-I like to pick the colors,paint and style. I have been trying to talk him into letting me keep the little black bench for our small porch. I think we may have worked out a trade if you know what I mean  :) gotta luv my hunny!
