Deck the Door Home Show Challenge

Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the Home Show this weekend. So many talented people participated in the event. Go vote for Secondhand Chic's November door! Only one more day left!
Our November door décor. I wanted something that was fall but wasn't pumpkins. I love the red apples and the chalk board sign.
My next favorite door was done by Commonamyhouse.blogspot.com Oh my..it was a lovely coral painted door with the most darling gold heart accents and to die for entry rug! I heard she bought it at Ikea and I think I need one.
This green door was a show stopper with live succulents growing! This was amazing, I wanted to keep touching it.
The blue door with paper wreath and little bird nest center was a hit. This was one of my favorite painted doors and the Hello vinyl was a great final touch.
Ok-so who doesn't LOVE this frame? It is truly gorgeous.
October was fun with a witch wreath and dark black door!

Close ups of some of my favs. I have more pictures so stay tuned!

We just moved into our new home a few weeks ago (SQUEEL!) so we haven't completed many up cycle projects because we are busy unpacking boxes so I thought I would add some pictures of a few projects completed over the summer! I will post more pictures and details of the new (to us) home!

French Grey Dining Table

Before table and chairs. It was really glossy so we sanded and also primed the top. We have the primer tinted to the same hue as the paint so that when we distress the piece the white primer isn't showing through. Sometimes it is OK to have the white show thru when distressing but this particular piece that just wasn't the look we were going for.

Light French Grey by Sherwin Williams. The fabric is from Hobby Lobby.

Music to my ears

Picked up this lovely antique stereo console from a friend. I had special plans for it. Taking out all the guts and making it our new tv console. Oh and adding gold..lots a gold!

I love it-what do you think?

What time is it?

It is time to look at another lovely painted floor clock. This one might be my favorite! It is milk paint and I have layered several different colors to get this effect. It is chippy heaven to be sure!

Better After

Some things are just better after..like these! My new Philco antique radio upcycled with paint and a coa coa burlap bag instead of fabric...
